Case: 11.K.KAMD.15.20.21.22
Patient: 73-year-old male
Symptoms:
Persistent knee pain with significant limitations in movement that worsens with weight-bearing; sports activity is not possible.
Diagnosis:
Lateral gonarthrosis of grade IV, lateral meniscus degeneration with collateral ligament damage, femoropatellar arthrosis of grade IV at the lateral femoral condyle.
Images on the left:
Ultrasound images show the condition before the procedure using the RRGGS method of the MIBRAR® system, where an absolute absence of the articular cartilage layer at the lateral femoral condyle is evident.
Operative result:
Consistent improvement of symptoms has led to stable symptom-free status within 2 months, and unrestricted sports activity is again possible.
Images on the right:
Follow-up examination images 3 months after the procedure show a complete regenerative reconstruction of the articular cartilage layer at the lateral femoral condyle.
