Case: 9.K.KAMD.15.19.20.21.22
Patient: 61-year-old male
Diagnosis:
Grade IV degeneration of the medial meniscus. Grade IV retropatellar arthrosis. Grade III-IV femoropatellar arthrosis. Baker’s cyst.
Images 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11:
Images 1, 3, 5, and 7 show coronal MRI scans, and images 9 and 11 show sagittal MRI scans of the right knee joint, revealing medial knee osteoarthritis grade IV with bony contact between the medial femoral condyle and the medial tibial joint surface, as well as complete degeneration of the medial meniscus, corresponding to the condition before the procedure using the ASGSS method of the MIBRAR® system.
Operative result:
Consistent improvement of symptoms to complete relief took one month.
Images 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12:
Follow-up examination images 6.5 months after the procedure. Images 2, 4, 6, and 8 show coronal MRI scans, and images 10 and 12 show sagittal MRI scans of the right knee joint. These images demonstrate a regenerative reconstruction of the articular cartilage at the medial femoral condyle and the medial tibial joint surface, as well as the medial meniscus, with reconstruction of the joint space where no bony contact between the medial femoral condyle and the medial tibia is visible, indicating an improvement in the varus deformity.
